Upgrading from 13.6 to 13.9 errors

I upgraded from 13.6 to 13.9 and now when I try and do a ‘scidb.py startall [db]’ it fails, although the process for each instance are up after failure. It looks like some kind communications issue from command to workers.

I keep getting these messages over and over for all instances.

2013-10-24 14:01:14,505 [0x2aadb94c66a0] [ERROR]: Could not get the remote IP from connected socket to/frominstance 1. Error:107(‘Transport endpoint is not connected’)
2013-10-24 14:01:14,505 [0x2aadb94c66a0] [DEBUG]: Connected to instance 1, localhost:1240
2013-10-24 14:01:14,505 [0x2aadb94c66a0] [ERROR]: Network error in handleSendMessage #32(‘Broken pipe’), instance 1
2013-10-24 14:01:14,505 [0x2aadb94c66a0] [ERROR]: NetworkManager::handleConnectionError: Conection error in query 1100894269050

Any thoughts?

This appears to be an issue having to do with networking in the newer version of boost in 13.9. PWorner and I spent some time discussing this error offline. Currently, the recommended workaround is to replace the hostnames (i.e. “localhost”) with IP addresses (i.e. “”) in the config.ini file.
