Redundancy usage

#1

Hello.

http://forum.paradigm4.com/t/data-duplication-server-redundancy-and-master-failover/294

I read that link. I’m curious about redundancy.

[cluster]
server-0=192.168.10.156,0-3
server-1=192.168.10.157,0-3
server-2=192.168.10.153,0-3
install_root=/opt/scidb/18.1
pluginsdir=/opt/scidb/18.1/lib/scidb/plugins
logconf=/opt/scidb/18.1/share/scidb/log4cxx.properties
db_user=scidb_pg_user
db_passwd=scidb_pg_user
base-port=1239
base-path=/home/scidb/scidb_data
redundancy=2
security=trust

I set redundancy to 2 and cluster count to 3 in config.ini.
And I killed cluster 1 (server-1), then I couldn’t read the data from SciDB.
Am I misunderstanding about redundancy option?..

Hi @derbar

This is expected because you’re not running the SciDB Enterprise Edition. Redundancy and staying alive in the event of node failures are not available in the Community Edition.

Sometimes Paradigm4 provides Enterprise Edition licenses to academic collaborators at reduced rates. If you want to learn more about buying EE, please email info@paradigm4.com
