Not a bug, but

#1

Not so much a bug, but a minor inconvenience. In AFL (the language, not the “football” league) string arguments to functions or operators are surrounded by single quotes. They are printed with double quotes. The parser doesn’t accept double quotes…

Ecco:

AFL% echo("foo"); UserQueryException in file: src/query/parser/QueryParser.cpp function: parse line: 79 Error id: scidb::SCIDB_SE_PARSER::SCIDB_LE_QUERY_PARSING_ERROR Error description: Error during query parsing. Query parser failed with error 'syntax error, unexpected $undefined, expecting '<''. echo("foo") ^ Failed query id: 1102111842934 AFL% echo('foo'); [("foo")] AFL%
