Is Bigint supported by Scidb?

I only find “int, float, double, bool, string, char” in AFL tutorial.

and is the string = varchar?

Thanks!

Hello,

I am not sure what you mean by Bigint - different languages define this differently. Sometimes bigint refers to 64-bit integers. In that case, we absolutely support “int64” as well as “uint64”.

Here’s how to ask the system for a list of datatypes:

apoliakov@scalpel:~/scidb$ iquery -aq "list('types')"
[("bool"),("char"),("datetime"),("double"),("float"),("indicator"),("int16"),("int32"),("int64"),("int8"),("string"),("uint16"),("uint32"),("uint64"),("uint8"),("void")]

Yes “string” is roughly the same as “varchar” except SciDB does not require you to specify a size.

User-defined datatypes are also possible.
