Installing SciDB, PostgreSQL password

#1

I’m currently trying to install SciDB on a server running CentOS 6.4 and I’m having issues with the PostgreSQL setup. After changing the pg_hba.conf file to use md5, when trying to initialize and start SciDB by running sudo -u postgres /opt/scidb/13.6/bin/scidb.py init_syscat db, I get the following message "Password: ". I don’t know what the password is or how to set one if needed?

Looks like by leaving the default settings for PostgreSQL, I was able to initialize the system catalog. I then ran into another issue when it came to running scidb.py initall db, I fixed the issue by changing the PostgreSQL settings from ‘md5’ to ‘trust’. All is running as it should.
