Initall ERROR: Abnormal return code: 1

#1

Hi,

I am trying to change the base-path in my config.ini to a directory on a mounted drive:

[mydb]
server-0=127.0.0.1,1
db_user=mydb
db_passwd=mydb
redundancy=0
install_root=/opt/scidb/14.3
pluginsdir=/opt/scidb/14.3/lib/scidb/plugins
logconf=/opt/scidb/14.3/share/scidb/log4cxx.properties
base-path=/mnt/data/scidbdata
tmp-path=/mnt/data/chr22Files/tmp
base-port=1239
interface=eth0

And I initialize the system catalog successfully but initall fails with some error about creation of symbolic links:

[scidb@localhost /]$ sudo su - postgres
-bash-4.1$ /opt/scidb/14.3/bin/scidb.py init_syscat mydb
mydb is the result

I’ve seen this on a broken VM where the drive I was putting the datastore on was not correctly formatted.

Hi. I’m kind of facing a similar issue. Have you found any solution to this yet?

Abnormal return code 1 stderr on -- look at scidb logs for hints

Please re-run initall command with verbose switch as follows:
scidb.py -v initall mydb

Post the output the command produces.
