Floating point exception

#1

Hello,

I’ve got SciDB 0.75 up and running, and was walking through the example in the SciDB Install Guide: scidb-0.7.5.1557.s3.amazonaws.co … 5.1557.pdf

I’ve successfully created the array ‘test’ as noted on page four of the example. I can see the array in SciDB - when I execute scan(), attributes() , and dimensions() I get, respectively:
[[]]
[(“a”,“int32”,false),(“b”,“int32”,false)]
[(“x”,0,3,3,0,9223372036854775807,-9223372036854775807),(“y”,0,3,3,0,9223372036854775807,-9223372036854775807)]

I then create the dense-formatted array text file data.txt shown on page four of the Guide, stashing it in /tmp/:

[
[(0,0),(0,1),(0,2)],
[(1,0),(1,1),(1,2)],
[(2,0),(2,1),(2,2)]
]

and attempt to load it with the load() command:

./iquery -aq "load(test,’/tmp/data.txt’)

When I do so, I get the following output from SciDB:

Floating point exception

Anyone else run into this problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks, Patrick

Thanks for the help, I had misconfigured my node.

That is a misleading error message. If you think you can make this happen again, let us know and we will fix the error message to be something better than “floating point exception.”
