Cancelling query

#1

i am trying to cancel long-running query
i have looked up query id in list(‘queries’) which itself hangs.
i have issued cancel("{0,0}") call
it says query not found but marks the query as cancelled in coordinator but other instances continue to run the query.

i have ended up restarting the scidb.

what is happening with cancel command?

Hey Stan,

That ‘{0,0}’ is not the Query ID. The Query ID is the big identifier next to it. For example:

$ iquery -aq "list('queries')"
{inst,n} query_id,coordinator,query_string,creation_time,error_code,error,idle
{0,0} '0.1469201433227291885',0,'consume(unpack(twod,i))','2016-07-22 15:30:33',0,'Success',false
{0,1} '0.1469201440103443600',0,'list(\'queries\')','2016-07-22 15:30:40',0,'Success',false
{1,0} '0.1469201433227291885',0,'','2016-07-22 15:30:33',0,'Success',false
{1,1} '0.1469201440103443600',0,'','2016-07-22 15:30:40',0,'Success',false
{2,0} '0.1469201433227291885',0,'','2016-07-22 15:30:33',0,'Success',false

So, based on that, you would say:

iquery -aq "cancel('0.1469201433227291885')"

Sorry about the confusion!
